Ovation Recommended

A mystical, magical adventure when a mysterious teen arrives at a transitional house for young women in Echo Park run by a charasmatic Evangelical leader. As the two women struggle to understand each other, the elder becomes more determined to save the young girl from herself. But she has already devised her own plan for salvation with the help of her imaginary friends.

  • "Aided by a superb design team, director Jon Lawrence Rivera neatly addresses the play's vagaries, balancing the playful and the mysterious in a thoroughly nifty production that contains a wealth of ingenious effects, most notably Keith Skretch's knockout video design. And if we sometimes suspect that Schoenberg and Rivera are merely messing with our heads, we appreciate the sheer novelty of their gonzo vision." Los Angeles Times
